Good day

In November 2009 I was caught with marijuana in Cape Town, Paid R50 and signed an admission of guilt to be released. It as now been 10 years since the incident and wanted to apply for expungement. I made the trip to the criminal office in Pretoria, only to be told the case has not been finalised (they suspect fingerprints are missing)… But as far as I remember no fingerprints were taken the day I was caught.

Do I have to wait for the case to be finalised and then apply for expungement? Or can the case be withdrawn given the lack of evidence?

Regards

Wesley
