I had medical aid conributions deducted from Oct 2018 – Dec 2018, and the fund knew that my benefits would not be reinstated but still accepted the contribution. They have double standards and used more than R 17 000.00 of my money for services I didn’t have access to. Furthermore, this left me without medical aid cover and suffered tremendously in emergencies and times of requiring the assistance of a GP or even a painkiller.
I would like to know if I can claim against this scheme for the following :
1) Refund of my contributions
2) Medical fees incurred (hospitalization) as well as setbacks when I couldn’t take my family cos I had no money and no medical aid yet the scheme was deducting from my salary.
3) setbacks – ie. loans, uber rides, telephone costs.
4) pain & suffering
